FTUK is a Trust formed under the laws of England and Wales. The Trust Deed was executed on 15 August 2008 and is based on the model document available from the Charities Commission.

FTUK strives to follow best practice in Governance. Trustees approved the Terms of Reference for a Fund Management Committee in their first meeting. The committee is comprised of the donors and functions independent of the Trustees. No disbursements can be made by the Trust without the Committees approval.
